Memberships that are due for renewal will be frozen until we can arrange for renewals to take place. Details will be posted on the website and on the noticeboards.

Message from the Chairman
AN IMPORTANT MESSAGE FROM THE CHAIRMAN
It is with regret that I have to inform you that due to current pandemic the club must remain closed until further notice. This is because our area has been placed into the government’s ‘Tier Two’ (High Risk) category, meaning that licensed premises can only open if they serve ‘substantial’ meals, which we do not.
Those of you who visited the club during the limited time that we were allowed to open will, I am sure, have seen for yourselves that we put in all necessary measures to keep everyone as safe as possible; for instance, installing ant-spit screens, hand sanitiser and signage, table spacing and other restrictions as and when required. Indeed, when we had our visit from the Covid Marshalls we were complimented on our procedures, receiving a one hundred percent score in all areas. In spite of this, we now find ourselves having to comply with legislation and remain closed. Although the government has informed us that the current situation will be monitored and reviewed where necessary, making any firm plans in the face of such an unpredictable and volatile scenario is felt to be completely unrealistic, particularly with regard to stock and staffing levels. The Management Committee has therefore reluctantly decided that the club will remain closed over the Christmas and New Year period.
Please keep checking our website for updates. In the meantime, I want to assure you that your club remains in safe and capable hands, and will re-open as soon as possible in 2021.
Thank you all for your continuing patience. I wish you a happy Christmas and a safe and prosperous New Year.
Best wishes
Glen Marriott
Chairman
